My little boy turned 3. He received loads of birthday wishes and so did I. Amongst the most recurring comments I heard and read, there was that the classic statement of how time flies, or how they just grow too fast… I concur now. They simply grow too fast. It was not always that obvious to me. It was not obvious when going through the dreadful colics phase, when the novelty, the excitement, the constant self-doubt, the self-demanding me not wanting to screw up,  the poignant feeling of guilt  ( will it ever go away?) and the -sometimes – unbearable and overwhelming feeling of responsibility did not allow me to see that raw truth: that time flies and that time is the only real and meaningful asset we have.
