Finding solace in leaves

I have been meaning to post new entries on this lite corner of mine for some time now but the start of the school term has been tough. Wait. What am I talking about? Tough? It has been a nightmarish ordeal. All garnished with restrictions, quarantines, pandemic fears, uncertainty, a child pushing new limits, tight work deadlines and no me-time. A dangerous cocktail to test anyone’s endurance, even that of the infamously called omnipotent single mums.

There is something to remind myself that there is light at the end of the tunnel, however long that tunnel is. Leaf peeping has been a consolation. Even when my world feels unwelcoming at times or a place I would rather escape from, the changing of season is a powerful reminder that life goes on outside, everything is cyclical and that this, too, shall pass. Pandemic and all.
