My name is Cárol and I am the author of this blog, which I crafted as a way of documenting my day-to-day experiences, express my love for all things creative and share tips and life hacks which somehow proved useful to me. With a background in Journalism and Digital Marketing and after spending a few good years in the corporate world, I am now working as a freelancer Online Marketing consultant which I combine with my other 24/7 job as the mum of my soon-to-be three-year-old son.

I am a single mum of one and while parenting and the joys, trials and tribulations of raising a child in a one-parent family are a part of this personal journal, this blog is not about parenting or motherhood but about everything which inspires me, motivates me and has helped me be a better version of myself.  That, of course, includes the experience of motherhood, but also my love for style and fashion, art and my soft spot for wellbeing and beauty, which I firmly believe that comes from within.

Please don’t let the title of the blog mislead you or put you off. Even if you have not reached that milestone in your life and hit the big 40, this blog is also for you, woman or man, in your forties or in your thirties, I do hope you will find something here that you will enjoy reading.
